chemical and mechanical digestion

sofia quintana

the chemical digestion take place in the mouth, stomach and small intestine. its chemical digestion because it has chemicals changings of food. its the break down of food by enzymes in the body. carbohydrates break down into sugar

the mechanical digetion is when you physical break down food into smaller units (mastication)

Mechanical and chemical digestion max centeno 1B

Mechanical digestion:Involves the physical brekdown of food.
Parts:
-Mouth-teeth,tongue, and palates
-Esophagus-peristalsis
-Stomach-muscular churning action of stomach
-SI-bile and peristalsis
Chemical digestion:The chemical breakdown of food (carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals etc).

Mechanical and Chemical Digestion

Mechanical:
This one begins from the mouth. It begins when the teeth cut the food. Then in the tongue it distinguishes flavors.

Chemical:
Our mouth produces a chemical called saliva. Saliva is produced by your salivary glands. When the saliva moistens the food it makes it easier for you to pass the food

Chemical and mecanical Jairo

The mecanical digestión is the movement trata the mouth makes to meke essyest the process of digestion.
The chemical digestion aré the chemicals that the stomach have to digest all food in your stomach.

Mechanical & Chemical

MECHANICAL SYSTEM:

Is all about what happens in your mouth, the movement you make when you chew the food prepares your stomach to all the food is about to get .

CHEMICAL SYSTEM:

Chemical digestion happens during the time that the food travels all down from the esophagus  to the anus, when the nutrients get separated from the food for example: vitamins, minerals , etc.

Sofia Obeso

digestion
Digestion divides in two parts chemical and mechanical

Chemical: The food have chemicals and also some parts of our body like de siliva
mechanical: our body is a mecchanical form when we open de mouth

MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL DIGESTION

MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL DIGESTION

Mechanical digestion is where the food is broken down into smaller pieces.

Chemical digestion is where the food is chemically broken down into subatomic particles, starting with the saliva in the mouth and continuing through the small intestine.

Marifer Zermeño

Mechanical and Chemical Digestion

Mechanical digestion refers to the  movements, like the ones the stomach makes to digest all food , and the small intestine also makes movements to break down the food.
Chemical is the one thatprovides chemicals to take the nutrients from the food and to breake it up.

Mechanical and Chemical Digestion

Chemical digestion is...

The process through which the body reduces food to a size where the nutrients that it contains can be absorbed.

And mechanical digestion is...

Mechanical digestion is the breakdown of food through chewing, mixing, or churning. Mechanical digestion occurs in the mouth and stomach.

Mechanical & Chemical Digestion

Mechanical digestion is the fisical break down of the food. This accours in the:

  • Mouth
  • Esophagus
  • Stomach
  • Small intestine
There are two types of M.D.
  • Mastication
  • Peristalsis
Chemical digestion recall many organs. During the chemical digestion, enzymes brake down food molecules by hydrolysis, there exist eight digestive enzymes responsible for chemical digestion:

  • Nuclease
  • Protease
  • Collagenase
  • Lipase
  • Amylase
  • Elastase
  • Trypsin
  • Chimotrypsin

Mechanical & Chemical digestion

Mechanical digestion is when your body makes a movement to break down the food & it occurs in this parts:

  • Mouth
  • Esophagus
  • Stomach

Chemical digestion: some organs secret substances that help during the process of digestion.

Here I put a VIDEO hope you enjoy it!

Chemical and Mechanical digestion.

There are 2 types of digestion:

  • Mechanical:It occurs mainly in the mouth and in the stomach which "cut" the food in small pieces this means that food is changed physically but not chemical.
  • Chemical:it chemicaly transforms food in things like sugars,fats,etc..saliva is also involved in this process.

Physical and Chemical Digestion

Physical Digestion:
-Is the breakdown of food by physical means.
-Physical digestion starts when we use our knife and fork to brake down large substances.
-Our teeth take over to grind food into small particles wich can be swallowed
-Physical digestion also includes peristalsis which helps move food down the digestive tract and the muscular churning of food within the stomach which helps mix food substances with digestive juices and acid.

Chemical Digestion:
*   Why is chemical digestion needed?
- Chewing, churning, and mixing of food with digestive juices can only separate molecules from each other. These actions cannot split up molecules. Many nutrient molecules are too large to pass through cell membranes (i.e. they cannot be absorbed).- Molecules of water, vitamins, and minerals are small enough to be absorbed through the intestinal wall and into the blood stream.
- Proteins, carbohydrates, and fat molecules are too large and must be broken down further by chemical means. This is chemical digestion.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU!!!

Paulina Hernandez

chemical and mechanical digestion

Chemical digestion refers the to the breakdown of food in the mouth, stomach and intestines through the use of acids and enzymes.

Mechanical digestion processes such as chewing, swallowing and the muscular movements that move food through the digestive support chemical digestion by physically breaking whole foods into smaller pieces to facilitate chemical breakdown.

                                   by. Tania

Physical and chemical digestions

Physical digestion:
This type of digestion is the one in charge of breaking down the food.
The teeth help a lot in this part because they are in charge of cuting the food into small particles.
Also the peristalsis help the food move down.

Chemical digestion:
Saliva, mocus, etc... are substances that produce the body to help digestion and to take all the nutrients of the food.

Mechanical and Chemical Digestion

Mechanical Digestion

Mechanical Digestion involves the physical breakdown of food. Mechanical Digestion occurs in the following locations:

Mouth- Teeth,Tongue and Plates
Esopagus- Peristalsis
Stomach- Muscular curning action or Stomach

Chemical digestion

Chemical Digestion is much like it sounds, those aspectsof digestion achieved with the application of chemicals to our food.

In here I give you a video about this topic:

Chemical and mechanical digestion.

Hello...

Chemical: Refers to the breakdown food on the mouth, stomach and intestine through the use of acids.
Mechanical: Is the digestive processes such as chewing and the muscular movements that food move to the digestive tract.

The Digestive Process

The Digestion is the process of changing food in to a form that the body can absorb and use as energy or as the raw materials to repair and build new tissue.
The digesting food has a two-part process that's half mechanical and half chemical.

By Valeria Alfaro.

Organs: Small and Large Intestines

The intestine is a muscular tube which extends from the lower end of your stomach to your anus, the lower opening of the digestive tract.

The small intestine is made up of three segments, which form a passage from your stomach to your large intestine:

Duodenum: This short section is the part of the small intestine that takes in semi-digested food from your stomach through the pylorus, and continues the digestion process.

Jejunum: The middle section of the small intestine carries food through rapidly, with wave-like muscle contractions, towards the ileum.

Ileum: This last section is the longest part of your small intestine. The ileum is where most of the nutrients from your food are absorbed before emptying into the large intestine.

Large intestine
Your large intestine is about five feet (or 1.5 meters) long. The large intestine is much broader than the small intestine and takes a much straighter path through your belly, or abdomen. Its job is to absorb water and salts from the material that has not been digested as food, and get rid of any waste products left over. By the time food mixed with digestive juices reaches your large intestine, most digestion and absorption has already taken place. The large intestine is made up of the following parts:
Cecum, Rectum & Colon
The colon consists of four parts:Sigmoid colon,Ascending colon,Transverse colon, and Descending colon.
